How much does it cost?

Between $70-115 depending upon the set up.

What does cost include?

A variety of your choice of signs can be installed around dark on the night before your event.  Pick up is on the evening of the booking.  A  door hanger card that has a short  message is include. The signs remain the property of Sign Sisters as this is a rental service.

How to confirm my booking?

Once you complete our online form we will contact you about availability and price. Within 48 hours of receiving the invoice your spot is saved, it is confirmed upon payment. After 48 hours without payment your date will be reopened to new reservations.

When do I get my signs? Signs are delivered the night before and removed the following evening around 7-8pm

What happens if it rains?

Our signs are all waterproof, however, we will not be able to install your sign if there is lightning or other hazardous weather conditions that prevent set up and or take down. In the event of prohibitive weather or inclement weather, if we are unable to reschedule the sign delivery,  a refund will be honored.

What is the cancellation policy?

There is a cancellation fee for any type of cancellation.  No cancellation fee applies for rescheduling due to inclement weather to a mutually agreeable later date.  Cancellation prior to 3 days of the event date are subject to a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellation within 3 days of the event are subject to a 50% refund.

What areas do Sign Sisters serve?

We are currently doing bookings in Arlington, McLean and Falls Church.  However we will do other areas within the DMV for additional fees.

What if my lawn guys come?

Please keep in mind that once the signs are installed it is very difficult for lawn care services to operate.  We ask that you reschedule your lawn service to come another day.  And, also remember that while the signs are meant to be pleasant surprises, please notify the homeowner that they will be receiving the signs so that they can make arrangements.

What if I rent the property?

By making payment and booking you are giving us permission to enter your property and install and take down signs.  Please check with the property owner to be sure installation of signs is permissible prior to booking.

What if I am in an apartment building?

At this time we are only providing service to homes with some type of lawn that is accessible from the street. When we figure out a solution to the apartment building conundrum we will will let you know!

What if I have a fence and/or dogs?

Please be sure all fences that require entry are unlocked the night before or early the morning of a sign installation and that all pets are inside during install and later that night when the signs are being taken down.

Can I order signs as a surprise for someone else?  

Yes definitely a great surprise, BUT please be sure you have permission from someone over 18 within the household so that our delivery team does not encounter any difficulties.

Do we get to keep the signs? 

The signs are yours for the day, but the signs are only visiting and need to move on to the next celebration.  Please try to keep them out of harm's way from lawn services or other potential dangers.

Do you do customized signs? Yes, we can do special photo signs when you want to go all out. See our photo gallery for some ideas from anniversaries and bar mitzvah's.  These signs are extra and you can keep them, but we need at least 7 business days lead time in order to get them ordered in time for your celebration.

Terms of Service:   By booking and making payment you agree to terms & conditions as set forth in the FAQ's.

Payment: Payment is due at the time of booking to confirm & hold your date. 

Additional days: Additional days can be added for your convenience at $50 per day to your reservation.  

Cancellation/Refund Policy: In the event you need to cancel your order, you may cancel up to 3 days before your scheduled set up for a $25 cancellation feee. Cancellation within 48 hours are subject to a 50% fee.

Do we offer last minute or rush Orders? Requests for next or same day orders are subject to a $15 fee. These orders are based on availability, we will do our best to accommodate. 

Inclement Weather: If inclement weather prevents us being able to safely deliver, setup or take down a yard sign display, we will contact you to discuss rescheduling and/or issue a refund. Sign Sisters are only liable for the amount of money paid - no liability for damages.  Inclement weather includes but is not limited to: lighting, thunderstorms, heavy rain, high winds, snow storms, frozen ground or any other server weather that could cause harm to our sign crew or our displays.  

How does it work with winter Reservations?  Winter reservations are weather permitting.  If the ground is frozen it is impossible to get the stakes into the ground. For winter reservations we will test the ground 24-48 hours ahead and make a determination.  If we are unable to install your greeting the deposit can be used for another date or refunds will be given.

When is Delivery & Pickup? Sign displays will be delivered after dark the evening before your event date and picked up approximately 24 hours later unless a special request has been made.

Can I get a sign display on a Holidays? Sign displays requiring setup or removal on a holiday will be subject to a $20 fee. Holiday include:  New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Superbowl Sunday, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day.

What if the display is a surprise? Sign displays are often a surprise, but for the safety of all involved, please alert one of the homeowners that they will be receiving signs and get the property owner’s permission.  Please make arrangements to turn off any sprinkler systems and/or notify yard service companies for the duration of the rental.  Kindly ensure all pets are secured inside or in a location that will not cause any disturbance during the setup or cause any damage to the sign display.

What happens if the sign display gets damaged? All signs and yard art are the property of Sign Sisters.  Please protect the display as you are responsible for any damage occurring while on your property.  Any damage, including grass clippings, destruction or tampering with the yard greeting is prohibited.  Signs should not be moved without the consent of Yard Sign Sisters. Customers are responsible and invoiced for the damage and replacement of the graphics, letter or stake at full replacement cost.

Is there any liability for damage to my grass? By paying your invoice, you agree and waive all claims against Sign Sisters. Moreover, Sign Sisters and all agents & representatives are not responsible or liable for any injury or damage that may be caused to any person or property during the setup or removal of the yard display.  Sign Sisters is not responsible for vandalism in the form of the greeting being altered or rearranged to an inappropriate phrase(s).  

Will there be pictures? We reserve the right to photograph your yard with the yard art sign display and use it for sale and marketing purposes.

Can my sign say anything? Sign Sisters can decline orders at it’s sole discretion.  We reserve the right to decline orders that are political, controversial, lewd, disrespectful or that do not fit the celebratory nature of our business.  

Will the price change? Sign Sisters reserves the right to change pricing in it’s sole discretion. Pricing is subject to change, due to location, weather or any other commercially reasonable factors.

Please remember all signs remain the Sign Sister's property. Any damage, destruction or tampering with the signs is prohibited.  Full payment for any signs that are damaged will be enforced
